The Aquaboxes have been one of the best items we have ever received in our containers. Every item inside is valuable to our people. What amazed us was the excellent quality of the goods inside, as well as the usefulness of each item selected. Our people are the poorest in our society, so to receive something brand new is unforgettable in itself. We serve the truly homeless, who live in plastic shelters in the open places around the city, and in the large destitute holding camps on the outskirts. These people are always drinking dirty water from holes dug along some stream bank, often dried up. In this country Bilharzia is in every open water source, as well as many other filthy things.
The day the boxes arrived at our warehouse, the headline in one of the newspapers was " CLEAN WATER RUNS OUT. " And it literally has. One of the bacteria to be found in our water is an ecoli ..... human waste bacteria, and all water has to be boiled before using for cooking, drinking etc. It was 6 months ago that I walked the city looking for affordable water filters for our staff in town and our people on our Agricultural Training Village. Nothing was to be found. So the Aquaboxes are truly a gift from the Lord Himself………
So we say THANK YOU !!!!!! on behalf of many.

We appreciate your support so much. In our area we have the problem of cholera, typhoid and amoebic dysentery. We thank the Rotary International for their donation of the Aquaboxes whereby our people will be able to ensure the water which is clean and pure for their health. These were supplied to schools, individuals and hospitals...Clothes were received with gratitude. They were in need of them. It is hard to buy clothes for the common man. Our children enjoyed wearing shoes...We need you, donors with good hearts, we need your help and your goods. One Masai woman said 'Long live the donors of CART'.

We have been informed by Christian African Relief Trust that the Aquaboxes used by them to forward their relief materials to us are always donated by your organisation, The Rotary International. ...The iron pipes provided by.... are still the pipes presently in use. It is pouring out brown water. All efforts to appeal to government to come to our aid and change the iron pipes to plastic pipes have been promised and no action.
The arrival of your organisation's Aquaboxes have enabled us to consume clean pure water. The Aquaboxes do not go round to all the wards and sections. We have appealed to increase the supply to us, but their hands are tied for they have pressing demands from many people, churches and schools etc. in this area clamouring to own Aquaboxes for purification of water....Your Aquaboxes have really helped us to consume pure water. We will be grateful if you can increase your supply to Christian African Relief Trust to enable them to increase the supply to us.
The use of Aquabox for water purification has greatly redeemed the incidence of water borne diseases. We thank you in advance for granting our request.

Warm and sincere greetings. We the Staff and children of this motherless babies home seize this opportunity to salute and thank your organisation for the wonderful humanitarian gesture of providing Aquaboxes to Christian African Relief Trust which they use in providing relief materials to us in this part of Africa. The Aquabox provided free to C.A.R.T. served two purposes of being used as a container to pack the love gift and as a water purification container.
The source of drinking water in these rural areas are streams and ponds. Guinea worm infection, diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis and typhoid fever were common type of disease experienced in this area. Since we started to distribute your organisation's Aquaboxes, the above mentioned diseases have reduced to a manageable point. In this home seven wards out of ten have been provided by your organisation's Aquaboxes. We will be very happy to have them in all the wards.
I, on behalf of the staff and unfortunate Christians of this home say a big thank you and best regards to your Rotary International.

When we arrived we were shown where the people who lived there got their water. I was so shocked to see no more than a dirty puddle. It seems unimaginable that the children were drinking this water. While there we presented them with Aquaboxes on behalf of CART. I just wanted to say what a difference the Aquaboxes will make to the community. After seeing at first hand the water they were drinking and the dirt that was filtered out of the water., I know the Aquaboxes will make an enormous difference
