British Virgin Islands

In response to the devastation caused by the Category 5 Hurricanes Irma and Maria throughout the Caribbean, Aquabox has dispatched 180 AquaFilter Family units to the British Virgin Islands, which suffered widespread destruction. The filters will provide much-needed safe drinking water and will be distributed by Rotary District 7020.

Eritrea Refugees Shipment

Through our partners Christian African Relief Trust (CART) we have shipped 100 Aquaboxes to help support displaced and homeless refugees in Eritrea fleeing from persecution in Yemen and Ethiopia.

Bangladesh ShipmentA consignment of 10 Aqua12s and 15 Aquafilter Community units left the Aquabox depot in Cromford on Friday 13th October bound for Dhaka in Bangladesh to help the victims of the recent flooding there. The aid will be distributed by Rotary Clubs in Bangladesh to the affected areas.

hurricane irmaAquabox is in direct contact with a number of organisations working to assist those affected by the terrible devastation caused by Hurricane Irma, including international aid agencies, the UK government and the various Caribbean island governments and departments for disaster management in Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, British Virgin Islands and the Turks and Caicos Islands, as well as the Rotary Districts in the region.

aquabox south asiaAquabox has been heavily involved with relief efforts following widespread floods in south Asia, which have killed more than 1,200 people and affected millions. The severe flooding from monsoon rains has devastated communities and destroyed crops across India, Nepal and Bangladesh, raising fears of food shortages and the risk of disease.

Peru faces one of its worst emergencies in recent years, with over 1 million people affected by the torrential rains, flooding and landslides which have hit the country since January. Many of the families evacuated by the Peruvian army and the municipal government saw all their belongings and homes destroyed by the raging flood water.
